The 2023 Plateau State Governorship Candidate of the Ruling All Progressive Congress APC, Dr. Nentawe Yilwada Goshuwe in the recently concluded election, has revealed that it is true that Former Nigeria and Religious Leaders approach him on behalf of the PDP and it candidate Barr. Caleb Mutfwang not to approach Election Tribunal.
Dr. Yilwada who made this known to this medium at his country home at Rayfield Jos South Local Government Area of the State.
Dr. Yilwada who was answering questions from journalist immediately after he addressed his supporters who organised a get together on his behalf to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Savour Jesus Christ on the occasion of Easter among themselves.
In his further disclosure, he revealed that the electoral process and in the Nigeria constitution includes or allow him or any other person who feels otherwise to go to tribunal to query the electoral process so why are people coming to him to ask him to withraw his case knowing fully well that the election is not about himself but the party he represent and his supporters he asked?
He said, they went to the tribunal for that last process to be vet.
He also revealed that if the court check and say they are not the owner of the mandate then so shall it be, but if the court vet and say they are the owners of the mandate he hope and believe the PDP can congratulate them.
Dr. Nentawe also reveals that they went through the BVAS polling unit by polling unit across the entire Plateau State and came up with where there are over voting and listed all of them in their petition, and ask the tribunal to extract those over voting from the PDP votes for the people of the State to know who actually won the election.
He also revealed that in Naraguta B ward the Electoral Officer (EO) turn out to be Collection Officer (CO) as against what the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria assigned.
Furthermore, he said the law doesn’t provide any body to do that apart from the collection officer, and for that reason they are calling for the total cancellation and the ordering of a rerun election to be conducted in that entire Naraguta B ward by the Tribunal.
He also stated that his reasons for contesting the Plateau State Governorship election is because he want a good Plateau and for the people to have a good Plateau the process most be a good process in bringing leaders to govern the State.
Dr. Nentawe also used the opportunity to remind his supporters to always remember that election is not war, but to know that election is a process of selection of leaders who will govern them for a period of time.
So nobody should fight on his behalf, or anybody should insult his opponent on his behalf, because he is out to provide good governance and good governance does not include fighting one another or insulting opponent he said.
He also said in part of his manifesto is to unit the State and one cannot unit the state in an atmosphere of rancor or disunity.
