The APC governorship Candidate Nentawe Yilwatda has has identified strategy used by the PDP in rigging the March 18th election.
Statement made available to this medium and was signed by It’s been Shittu Bamaiyi Director of Press Generation Next stated that in his petition, Nentawe disclosed that the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System device BVAS were not used in many polling units that the PDP governorship candidate won in the state.
He further disclosed that the BVAS were not used in most parts of the state contrary to the provisions of the Electoral Act.
According to him the BVAS is meant to ensure the verification and authentication of an intending voter adding that without going through the system, a person is not qualified to vote.
Nentawe asserted that even without the use of BVAS, Mutfwang was recorded to have scored majority votes cast.
The APC governorship Candidate stated that INEC officials did not undertake accreditation process as required in many polling units where the PDP candidate is said to have scored the highest votes.
The petitioner said the presiding officers and the electoral officials in the governorship election did not comply or follow the procedure set out in the electoral Act and the manual for election officials issued by INEC.
Nentawe pleaded with documents and facts, that there were various cases of over voting in alot of polling units but instead of cancelling such votes, the presiding officers collated and entered them in favour of the PDP.
