The Executive Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council of Plateau State, Hon. Mafeng Gwallson and Hon. Adams Bisha Councillor Representing Jol ward in Riyom Local Government both commended Governor Simon Bako Lalong and the Rescue Administration leader on the Plateau.
Hon. Gwallson made the disclosure on Thursday 18 May, 2023 in an interview he granted News Parrot Newspaper and Online at the Council Secretariat immediately after Governor Lalong commissioned a sixty bed General Hospital/twenty bed trauma capacity centre and the first Water treatment plant within the Local Government Area.
Furthermore, Hon. Gwallson revealed that the APC administration on the Plateau under Lalong has achieve a lot most especially in Riyom Local Government Council.
He also stated that from what is seen in Riyom local government and the remaining 16 Local Government Councils of the State, one can beat his chest to say that since the inception of democracy in 1999, no administration has ever committed it’s resources in terms provision of social infrastructure to the people of Riyom Local Government like the administration of Lalong did.
The Executive Chairman challenged anybody with contrary view to mention any project sited in Riyom LGC that has a direct bearing to the people of the locality by any administration apart from the Lalong APC administration.
He said he can never forget this day for him for hosting the Executive Governor of Plateau State in person of Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, who is in LGC to Commission the Riyom General Hospital and Trauma Centre, a project that was started in 2005 by the then Governor Joshua Dariye which was abundone by Deriye’s successor Da Jonah David Jang.
He also revealed that project was initially started as a General Hospital, but with the coming of Governor Lalong’s Rescue Administration he upgraded it to General Hospital/Truma Centre and is well furnished, well equipped for the service and use of humanity.
This hospital is not going to serve only the people of Riyom Local Government Council alone, but is strategically located to serve the entire people of Nigeria due to it location.
The hospital has a lot of equipments that is second to non in the state, and it is believe that the services of the hospital well attract people from the State and even neighboring State.
The Chairman also revealed that the sixty bed general hospital and twenty bed truma capacity bed if properly put to use will go a long way in serving the generality of human being and to the glory of God.
The Chairman disclosed that Governor Lalong activity in Riyom Local Government Council climaxed the provision of water project that has been planned for Riyom Local Government Council under his watch.
He further disclosed that since the inception of his administration he planned to sink 340 hand pump boreholes to the people, Water treatment and other social amenities.
He said for the 340 hand boreholes have already been achieved, while the local government under his administration also made provision of six moterise boreholes in different communities.
Putting more light on the water treatment plant, Hon. Gwallson said is going to serve the people of Riyom, Rahos, Tahos etc.
He used the opportunity to thank the leader of the Rescue Administration on the Plateau Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong for the wonderful initiative and also revealed that the people of Riyom Local Government Council are so happy with the projects.
On his part, Hon. Adams Bisha Councillor Representing Jol ward in Riyom LGC also commended Governor Lalong for the wonderful initiative of the multi billion Naira projects sited in Riyom LGC by the Lalong administration.
He said among the projects sited in Riyom LGC are legacy projects which that of Riyom LGC is one among those that is over 90 percent completion, and now is going to serve as North Central Law School, the General Hospital/Trauma Centre, the Riyom water treatment plant.
The Councillor also commended the Executive Chairman of Riyom LGC Hon. Mafeng Gwallson sitting 20 million naira project to each of the wards in Riyom LGC.

Feat is something that no LG Chairman achieve in this administration on the Plateau.
