The Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau, has disclosed that Governor Caleb Mutfwang has good intention towards giving the people of the State dividend of democracy.
Arc. Jatau made the disclosure in his office at New Government House Little Rayfield Jos, yesterday 13, June 2023, while hosting members of Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem, an collation of Tarok journalists on the Plateau State
Arc. Jatau appreciated the forum for the visit and lauded the vision of the group for the initiative, expressed his joy that his immediate community are among the first to visit him over his appointment he said.
He also revealed that His Excellency Barr Caleb Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, is a gentleman to the core who cherishes peace and the progress of the state, hence his equitable distribution of appointments thus far.
The seasoned architect pledged his best efforts to the state’s growth and appealed for the support of the populace under the Mutfwang administration, where peace and progress will be the watchwords.
Arc. Jatau urged the good citizens of Plateau State, to coexist peacefully with everyone irrespective of any divisive tendencies while expressing his outmost dismay with the last administration in the state, recounting a situation where, for about a year in a volatile state like Plateau State, a security council meeting was not held; the general commanding the 3rd armored division testified that when he visited, saying that was his first time coming to the New Government House.
The Secretary to the Government of Plateau State appealed to the citizens to reject violence and see reason to give peace a chance, noting that some individuals who were not in touch with reality would want to use religion and other means to settle their political grievances.
In his earlier address, Chief Amb. Nanyah A. Daman, the National Coordinator, who led the delegation on the courtesy visit, stated that “it is with great joy and gratitude to God Almighty that we pay a courtesy call to the brand new Secretary to the Plateau State Government, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau, our beloved brother in whom we are well pleased.”
He further asserted that the Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem (Forum of Tarok Journalists) is an association of like minds who came together to promote and improve the living standard of the migrated Bantu family of the Central African Republic with common goals to enhance the socio-cultural and political development of the Tarok nation, where love and the unity of the Tarok nation should be their areas of concern, which should be sacrosanct.
The leader of the delegation stressed that they join millions of well-wishers in congratulating and felicitating with one of Tarok’s finest sons, who served Plateau State meritoriously in the civil service, rising to the position of director, where he helped in building Plateau State to the level it is today.
Amb. Daman reiterated that Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau supervised the building of the present New Government House at Little Rayfield, the Secretariat Junction overhead bridge, the Zaria Road Stadium, and the roads in Plateau State under Governor Jonah David Jang’s administration, amongst many other projects.
The Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem is appealing to the SGS through the Executive Governor of Plateau State to do everything humanly possible to ensure that the vacant Tarok stool of Ponzhi Tarok is filled immediately.
While appealing to Gov. Mutfwang’s administration to secure the citizens, construct dams in Langtang South LGA, build the bridge between Nbobo and Zamgwar, provide road networks in Langtang North and South, particularly the road between Pilgani linking Zamadede to Kafel to Zamgwar to Yipmong to Tutung in Kanam LGA to ease transportation, and improve the educational sub-sector so that the children of the less privileged can study with less stress.
The Nklang O’Tarok Ga Liryem appeal to the SGS to use his good offices to assist the forum in acquiring a befitting office, getting a bus for the running of its activities, appointing some members into the ICT team of the Mutfwang’s administration, and engaging its services from time-to-time in publicizing government activities; they also appeal for the settlement of media bills owed to some members and publishers by the last administration.
They prayed that the good Lord would give Arc. Jatau the wisdom of King Solomon and the strength of King David to assist Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s administration in building the state to enviable heights, like during Jonah Jang’s administration.
