Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress in Jos North Local Government has supported the resolution of the extraordinary stakeholders meeting of the state under the leadership of former Governor of the state, Simon Lalong.
While reading resolution of the meeting, Former Secretary to the Government of the State, Prof Danladi Atu said the stakeholders condemned in totality the unwarranted killings of innocent citizens in mangu and some parts of the state.
They equally condemned all acts of antiparty activities in all ramifications.
The stakeholders unanimously agreed to remain united and loyal members of the party as well as closed ranks as a pedestrians to move the party forward.
Professor Atu used the opportunity at the meeting to clarify the claims by the People Democratic party PDP that former Governor Lalong left a debt profile in the state to the tune of 307 noting that it was a fiction of the imagination of the authors.
Atu noted it was expedient for him to clear the air on the Debt profile of Plateau State stating that what it was even online where everyperson or persons would Google through the national Debt Management Office, DMO of the federation.
When Governor Lalong came on board in May 2015,he inherited a debt profile of Two Hundred and twenty two Billion Naira and he services the Debt and left Two Hundred and One point Two Billion naira” Atu remarked.
With this Professor Atu noted that Former Governor Lalong has serviced his debt and payed over 21 billion inherited from Governor Jang and alleged that Governor Caleb Mutfwang and his team are been economical with the truth, adding that there aim is to tanished the image of the former Governor.
He called on the Plateau people to verify their facts through the online Portal of the Debt Management Agency.
Prof Atu explained that Governor Lalong during his stewardship has preserved the state assets and those in Kaduna, Lagos as well as bag farm and other parts of the state.
The stakeholders assured supporters of party that victory at the Governorship, national and state Houses of Assembly Tribunal soon
The stakeholders commended former Governor Lalong for the pragmatic steps in bringing development at the door steps of the citizens.
APC Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Sani Gangare noted that the meeting was aimed at stepping down to the critical stakeholders meeting so as to strategize on how to galvanize the party to become stronger and more united.
Those in attendance at the meeting include former Speaker and Deputy speaker of the plateau state House of Assembly Peter Azi and Ibrahim Baba Hassan, Member representing Jos North North Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Dr Adamu Aliyu, the Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Shehu Bala Usman, former Commissioners, former Special Advisers to the immediate past Governor of Plateau State, Leader and Members of the Legislative and Executive Arms of Jos North Local Government Council and party faithful.
