
Leader of the Labour Party (LP) in Plateau State and 2023 Governorship Aspirant of the Party In the State, Chief Amb. Dr Yohanna Margif, Has described the Planned visit by the Presidential candidate of the labour party Peter Obi to Mangu Internally Displaced Persons Camps in Plateau State as a worthy thought.
Peter Obi, is scheduled for a visit to Plateau on Wednesday, 19th July ,2023 to comisirate with victims and people of the state over the recent attacks by Gunmen in Mangu Council area which claimed the lives of over 300 People with Many properties destroy and rander many people homeless.
Margif, in a statement signed on Monday 17th July 2023 and made available to Newsmen in Jos, described the Planned visit by Mr Peter Obi as another demonstration of empathy, which goes to show that he has the interest of the Plateau people and Nigeria at heart.
The Plateau Labour Party leader while welcoming Mr Obi to Plateau State call on all stakeholders of the Party in the State to come out in Mass to receive the Presidential candidate of the Party and to also accompany him to Mangu for the Visit in the sprite of Brotherhood.
Amb. Margif who earlier condemned the continues attacks and killings in Mangu and other parts of Plateau also call on all stakeholders in the state, irrespective of Tribe, Religion or Political affiliation to come together and support the affords of the Current Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang in Addressing insecurity on the Plateau, towards achieving total peace for development and progress of the home of Peace and Tourism.
” I have seen Governor Mutfwang, going round, making frantic efforts to see to the end of Insecurity in the state which he inherited and It is time to rally round the governor with our ideas and support to end the senseless attacks and killings in our dear state, because we don’t have any other place than Plateau” he said.
