People’s Democratic Party National Headquarters has been penetrated,rendered incapacitated and captured through the APC led Federal Government forces domiciled within and holding sensitive positions of responsibilities for the party.
Emma Macham made this known after visiting the National Headquarters to ascertain the level of compliance to the letter written by Sen Jeremiah Useini group to the NWC demanding for conduct of 2020 Congress to elect party executives in Plateau state.
At wadata Plaza a prominent member of the party who interacted with us smiles after listening to our cry for help and confided to our team that our issue is minor compared to how moles and hyenas have taking over the control and operational capacity of the party.
He said Wadata Plaza has been turn into a ghost structure with low or complete absence of activities by the current leadership who are divided into Two camps loyal to Ex-Gov Nweson Wike or to the Presidential Candidate of the PDP Alh Atiku Abubakar.
He told us that those loyal to Ex Gov Wike are clearly backed by the APC led Federal Government forces which have transmuted themselves into serious threats struggling to crippled party activities,he claim that Ex Gov Wike camp nominated the leadership of the 10th National Assembly instead of the party doing so in a very surprised manner and other serious nocturnal activities aimed at disorganizing the Parties balance and focus which are being plotted openly.
He said National Assembly members loyal to the party have been severally threatened and ridiculously turn into spectators as major positions expected to be taking by the party members at the NA were handed over to other minority parties such as SDP and others.
Some members of the NWC are being accused of working in collaboration with the Ex Gov Wike camp openly and underground undermining the parties progressive ideology and the worrisome situation is the continues interference coming from Ex-Gov Nweson Wike who left the party but has continue wooing several leaders along with him.
Part of our visit was to submit photocopies of receipts issued to us for the purchase of nomination forms by our group amounting to 24million naira and payments were made then dated 25th,February 2020-2nd,March 2020 directly into two banks accounts operated by the party and a firm contracted to handle sells of nomination forms.
We have given the National Headquarters enough time to study our demand inline with our party Constitution and numerous judgments against the structure in Plateau state.
In the spirit of our membership of this party,we have maintain decorum in the midst of severe provocation,restraining ourselves from carrying out acts capable of further jeopardizing the dilapidated situation of the party but to be honest if the National Headquarters refuse to respond appropriately to our letters we shall seek redress as well as report directly to the economic and financial crime commission in few days time to recover our money.
Macham confirm that the party is also divided into two in Plateau state with our group led by prominent leaders and Lt Gen Jeremiah Useini loyal to the embattled Presidential candidate of the party Alh Atiku Abubakar and it is very clear the other group is loyal to Ex-Gov Nweson Wike from there activities and modes of engagements at the National level and home front.
Few weeks ago,our groups loyal PDP members received various tribunals subpoena to testify on the true position of our party structure,our leaders instructed those subpoenaed to stand by nothing but the truth in responding to the courts of law,to the best of our knowledge that instructions were respected by almost all those involved across Plateau state and wish to debunk the allegations laid against our members that it was a hatchet job aimed at promoting the ruling APC,that remains an imagination of mischief makers who are never interested in building the party in Plateau state.
