Yesterday the 11th of September, certainly was and still a day that members of the PDP would find it very difficult,if not impossible to forget in a hurry.
That was the day, the bugle sounded loud and clear, signifying that the days of the PDP in the Government House, Little Rayfield, were numbered.
It is unbelievable but funny to learn that when the National Assembly Elections Tribunal sitting in Jos handed down its decisions on some petitions yesterday,it left in its wake casualties particularly among the elderly and youth of the party.
According to unconfirmed reports, the aged and some government appointees occupying ‘juicy offices’ in the PDP had to quickly sought for medical intervention to survive the shock following the well considered and erudite judgements given by the tribunal.
On the other hand, the young in the PDP went berserk by engaging in a drinking spree as a therapy against what they considered a calamity.
It is little wonder that the the sacked senator AVM Napoleon Bali went on a national television this morning casting aspersions and all sorts innuendoes on the justices that gave the judgement against him and his party the PDP and also rediculing the judiciary as an institution.
It is rather unfortunate and uncharitable for AVM Bali retired, to castigate the justices for taking a decision that he feels is not palatable to him and his party.
His utterances and behaviour portrays him a person who lacks all the credentials of a democrat and very unfit to occupy a seat in the red chambers.
If because of his background as a retired military officer,he was unaware of democratic norms,his party ought to guide him on how to behalf in the political space whenever he finds himself in such a situation.
