The Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress APC has dispel in it’s totality rumor making around that one Hon. David Bitrus Barji was adopted at meeting of the State Executive Committee which took place at the Kalwa House Secretariat of the Party.

APC State Publicity Secretary stated that attention of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State has been drawn to a news item in circulation to the effect that the Plateau State APC Chapter has adopted one David Bitrus Barji as a replacement to the Minister of Labour and Employment, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong.
He said, according to the news, he was adopted at a meeting of the State Executive Committee at the Kalwa House Secretariat of the Party.It also quoted the State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Hon. Sylvanus Namang as telling journalists in Jos that his adoption “is for the good of the Party”.
The APC in Plateau State hereby calls on members of the public to disregard this FAKE NEWS as there is totally nothing like that.
The said David Bitrus Barji is not known to the Party and therefore could not have been adopted for a ministerial position by it.
This is an attempt to smear the image of the Party as the recommendation of anyone for such a prestigious position is not totally the prerogative of the State Exco of the Party whose leader is the immediate past Governor of the State, HE Simon Bako Lalong who is coincidentally the present occupant of the ministerial position.
The APC as a responsible and responsive Party is a stickler to due process and would not embark on any issue that would cause disharmony within the Party.
The news is a joke taken too far and should be discountenanced in its entirety.
