The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Plateau State chapter, has congratulated the State chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Rufus Bature, former Special Adviser to Governor Simon Lalong, Hon Bashir Musa Sati and others over their well deserved appointments into the various Governing Councils of Universities, by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.
The ALGON in a signed presser, by its chairman, who is also the Executive Chairman, Jos North Local Government Council, Hon. Shehu Bala Usman, said the appointments were timely apt, for the advancement of the country’s tertiary institutions.
President Tinubu has recently, appointed Governing Councils of tertiary institutions in Nigeria, with Hon Rufus Bature, Hon. Bashir Musa Sati, Barr Auwalu Abdullahi, Arch. Gyang Pam Dung, Hon. Sadat Garga, Prof. Alhassan Gan and, Mr. Fred Bako, as members of different councils of Universities across the country.
“We commend Mr. President for finding these illustrious sons of Plateau State, capable of being in the various councils, aimed at advancing the cause of good education in the country,” he said.
The ALGON chairman, said their appointments was not only deserving, but also showcased that the appointees vasts experience would be imparted for national development.
“We congratulate the entire appointees, even as we are confident that you would perform diligently and optimally, too,” it said.
