The Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), celebrates the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Alhaji Ahmed Idris Wase, CON, on the commissioning of the National Open University of Nigeria, Study Centre Wase, tomorrow 24/5/24.

Acting Publicity Secretary made available to News Parrot Online stated that the commissioning of the Study Centre, no doubt marks another milestone in the numerous grassroots developments initiated by Alhaji Ahmed Idris in Wase, and Plateau State at large.
The APC has always regarded the former Deputy Speaker as a shinning example of quality representation, an achiever, and a source of pride and inspiration not only to the Party, but other up coming legislators.
What is more heartwarming and exemplary, is the fact that Alhaji Ahmed Idris does not confine and restrict his benevolence to his Wase Constituency alone, but the entire State, as could be seen in the establishments of the Orthopaedic Hospital in Jos,the Jos Campus of the Law school, and the reconstruction of network of roads among other projects in the State.
Back to his Constituency, the former Deputy Speaker is iconic, due to the unimaginable development initiated by him, such as the Federal Medical Centre Wase, Leather Institute of Technology Bashar, Smart Model Primary and Secondary schools as well as the Skill acquisition centres in the four Districts of Wase local government area .
That is not all, Alhaji Ahmed Idris Wase saw to the establishments of the College of Animal Science Study Centre, Police Secondary school both in Bashar, and the construction of the Federal road from Andame in Taraba State, to Kampani Zurak-Bashar-Jarmai road, in Plateau State.
It is therefore not surprising, that as a result of his quality representation,and contributions in the Green Chambers, Alhaji Ahmed Idris stood out and became the Deputy Speaker of the House, of the 9th Assembly without any opposition.
Furthermore,and Probably impressed by his leadership qualities, Alhaji Ahmed earned international recognition by becoming the Deputy Speaker of the Ecowas Parliament, and at the same time, got the National honours award of the ‘Commander of the Order of the Niger’ (CON).
The APC is indeed proud of the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Ecowas Parliament.
