Once again, Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong is elated with the appointment of the pioneer Director General of the Plateau State Information, Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA) David Daser by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to head the Digital Bridge Institute Abuja.
Lalong commends the President for again making the right choice of someone with knowledge, capacity and exposure to head such a specialised agency in actualizing the Renewed Hope Agenda within the information and communication technology sector.
Having worked closely with David Daser after he appointed him to head PICTDA while he was Governor of Plateau State, Senator Lalong describes the appointee as a shinning light that is result-oriented and a team player.
Lalong recalls the various projects and initiatives spearheaded by Daser which gave Plateau youths and opportunity to compete locally and internationally as well as get empowered using ICT platforms.
While congratulating Daser for the appointment, Lalong wants him to focus on mentoring the younger ones as well as ensuring that manpower in the ICT sector is discovered, harnessed and nurtured for national development.
He assures the appointee of his continued support and guidance as he carries out this crucial national assignment.
