SENATOR DARIYE CONDEMNS RESURGENCE OF ATTACKS ON BOKKOS COMMUNITIES.
Former Plateau State governor Senator , Joshua Chibi Dariye has condemned in strong terms Tuesday night attacks on Kwatas and Daffo Communities in Bokkos Local Government areas which left eight persons dead and several others injured.
Describing the attacks as callous , unwarranted and a setback to the attainment of lasting peace in Plateau State , Senator Dariye urged security agencies to apprehend the assailants and bring them to justice.
While commending the security agencies for their patriotism and sacrifices , the former governor called for more investment in intelligence gathering to enhance timely response.
The former governor who expressed sadness over the latest attacks appealed to the state government to deploy the state security outfit “Operation Rainbow” to the rural communities to complement efforts of sister security agencies especially in the area of intelligence gathering.
” Their knowledge of these communities will greatly assist the conventional security in carrying out their responsibilities” Senator Dariye observed.
He commiserated with the families of those who lost their loved ones and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Senator Dariye appealed to citizens to report movements of suspicious persons to security agencies for prompt action stressing that security is everybody’s business.
The former governor implores the state government not to be deterred by the latest setback , but redouble its efforts to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
