It was a moment of joy, laughter and reminisces as the Minister of Labour and Employment Simon Bako Lalong hosted his classmates, Basic 86 Set at the School for Preliminary Studies (SPS) Keffi.
The Basic 86 set was at the Abuja residence of the Minister to congratulate him over his appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to wish him well.
Leader of the group Prof. Noel Wannang told the Minister that the entire members of set 86 were very proud of his achievements and are delighted to associate with him always.
He said the Minister has proven to be a loyal friend who has not forgotten the days of little beginning where they were young and looked forward to the future with great anticipation.
Various members who also spoke narrated their stories of how the former Plateau State Governor has been of great assistance to them and has encouraged members of set to remain one family.
They prayed for him and expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver on the assignment as Minister of Labour and Employment giving his peaceful nature and record of performance.
In his reaction, the Minister of Labour appreciated the visit and said he was very happy that his classmates have come to encourage him and identify with him.
He also disclosed that their support to him has been very encouraging and motivating.
He encouraged them to continue to look out for one another and also offer support whenever the need arises.
Lalong assured them that as Minister of Labour and Employment, he will do his best to bring pride to Nigeria and not disappoint them.
