Fellow citizens of Plateau State, PDP is at it again.This time around, the party has re-grouped, re-oiled and kicked- started its already obsolete machinery, which is renowned for only blackmail and character assassination of its political opponents.
Top notchers of the party, including senior government officials are presently in Abuja, reaching out to top leaders and senior Sheiks of the Jama’atul Nasril Islam with alot of falsehoods against the person of Nentawe Yilwatda, who by the grace of God, is the incoming governor of Plateau State.
As part of the blackmail and character assassination mission, the PDP is callously misinforming the clerics that Nentawe hates with passion, the DARIKA sect, of the Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI).
As wicked and as callous the mission is, PDP’s disposition at the moment, is understandable, more so when the realities in the courts are glaring and convincing .
The party having failed to cow the judiciary into submission by way of intimidation and blackmail, feels the only option left to it, is to begin to beat the drums of sectarianism among the Muslim Ummah.
For clarity and information purposes, the Jama’atul Nasril Islam is the umbrella body of muslim organisations such the Darika, Izala, Fitiyanu, Rahatu, munazamatu, and Shabbabu among others.
Without doubt, for the PDP to single out the Darika as the only sect, that Nentawe detests, is deliberate, as the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar is one of its members and also the National leader of the Jama’atul Nasril Islam.
Therefore in their wishful thinking, pitching Nentawe against the Darika sect, is as good as putting him at logger heads with the Sultan, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, and the former Emir of Kano, Sinusi Lamido Sinusi among other prominent Nigerians that belong to the sect.
At this juncture, it very necessary and important to go down memory lane, by recalling some sad and despicable conducts of the PDP, especially in heat of the governorship campaign period in Plateau State.
It is unforgettable, the unsubstantiated and malicious propaganda initiated as well as promoted by the PDP against Nentawe, that he was being sponsored by the Sultan of Sokoto, to come and islamise Plateau State.That is not to talk about the alleged Sheikh Sanni Yahaya Jingri ‘s involvement in Nentawe’s sponsorship.
As a matter of fact, this falsehood resonated with the broad spectrum of the typical Plateau man and woman to the extent that Nentawe was adorned with the Sultanate regalia and shared in Churches across the State.
Therefore, for the PDP to make a volte face and claim that it likes the Darika sect at this material time, is not only funny, ridiculous but pitiful.
The question that the Darika sect should ask the PDP government is, if it loves it, as it claims, how many of its members benefitted from the five hundred million naira donated by the wife of the President ,Senator Remi Tinubu to the victims of Crises on the Plateau.
It is crystal clear, that the PDP wants too replicate what it did with the COCIN church.
The rapprochement from all intents and purposes is self-serving and aimed at dividing the ranks and file of the Muslim Ummah in the State.
