Jos the Plateau State Capital witness massive Jubilation as sixteen (16) State House of Assembly members receives certificate of return.
The event which took place at the Plateau State Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on 23th December, 2023.

In his speech dispel the rumors making around that the commission doesn’t want to give the members their certificate of return.
He said, he was out of the country for two weeks, and he just returned to the country three days back which is on the 20th December, 2023.
Mr Gundu also revealed that luckily the Chairman of the Commission Professor M. Yakubu called him to collect the certificates of return of the members elect which necessitated him to fixed yesterday 22, December, 2023 for the members to collect their certificate of return.
He said but upon his arrival at the Commission Headquarters in Abuja,
it was only ten (10) certificates were ready, so he had to wait till 9pm in the night to be able to secure all the 16 certificate that was presented to the members today.
The REC also disclosed that, they have a covering letter that they will send to the Clark of the Plateau State House of Assembly for onward implementation and and their swearing in.
Speaking on behalf of the 16 Members elect, and the member representing Quaanpan South State Hon. Prof. Theodore Maiyaki, said, “today, we see a demonstration of intriquecy of this organic part of our lives called democracy and we thank God for giving us the opportunity to witness yet moment in the evolution of our administrative governance in a legitimate will.
