
The Plateau State All Progressive Congress (APC) Youth Leader Hon Nanloh Joseph Dashe has commended the doggedness of the Plateau National and State Assembly Election Petition Tribunal for standing for the truth.
Hon. Dashes in a press release made available to made available to this medium stated that it take courageous Judges to stand firm in this era where judicial officials are being tempted with mouth watering gift.
Hon. Nanloh in his release call on the people of the State to take note on the recent judgement passed by the Presidential Election Tribunal where it says “Except where a judgment was held against a political party, such judgment cannot be deemed applicable to a candidate where a judgment is specific to a nomination of a candidate.”
The statement further called on the Plateau State PDP to blame their misfortune on their disobedience to the rule rather than the jurists who are out to dispense nothing but justice.

He further called on the PDP Plateau State to prove to the world how they obeyed Justice S. P Gang order by conducting fresh congresses in all the Plateau State wards, Local Government and the State with pictorial and video evidences.
Hon. Dashes who further stated that Plateau State PDP flagrant disobedient to the rule of law as follows:
1.A Court of competent jurisdiction presided by Justice S. P. Gang, ordered PDP to conduct fresh congress, PDP disobeyed the order.
- PLASIEC in 2022 refused to accommodate PDP in its Local Government Council Election,citing it’s disobedience of the orders of Justice S. P. Gang. 3.PDP sued PLASIEC before Justice Isyaku I. Kunda of High Court Jos. Justice Kunda ruled that PDP is in disobedience of a valid and subsisting court order as such it cannot participate in any election when in such disobedience. 4.PDP appealed to Court of Appeal Jos, and court of Appeal Jos confirmed Justice Kunda’s judgment.
- Meanwhile, PDP contested the By election into Bassa Jos North in February 2022 with the same structure outlawed by Justice Gang. It’s candidate won. 6.Hon Goni of PRP who came second, went to the Tribunal, claiming that PDP cannot lawfully field a candidate in any election both at the National and State , in view of the judgments of Justices Gang and Kunda, affirmed by the Court of Appeal Jos. Goni won.
. 7.However, PDP appealed to the Supreme Court against the judgment of the court of appeals in Jos in PDP vs PLASIEC, which by and large to test the ground of other cases..
- The Case at the Supreme Court was scheduled for 11/9/2022 but has already been dismissed by the Supreme court ,due to lack of diligent prosecution.
He further call on the jurists not to be deterred or intimidated but to keep on dispensing their judgement according to the rule of law as there is wild jubilation in the State by the citizens who received the judgement with all joy and gratitude to God Almighty.
